Anand Swaminathan received his MPH from The Mailman School of Public Health in 2001. He completed his medical school training at The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey – New Jersey Medical School in 2005 and his residency training in Emergency Medicine at the Bellevue/NYU Emergency Medicine Program in 2009. He is currently an ABEM board certified physician with an appointment as an assistant clinical professor of Emergency Medicine and assistant residency director at the Bellevue/NYU Medical Center.
Anand’s interests are in critical care medicine in the Emergency Department, medical student education and resident education. He is an active member of the ACEP critical care section and is an advisor for the EMRA critical care section. In 2010, Anand was awarded second place at the ACEP New-Speaker’s Forum. He has given Grand Round lectures at a number of Emergency Medicine Residency Programs including Mt. Sinai, UC Irvine, North Shore-Long Island Jewish, Stony Brook and New Jersey Medical School.
